Join the Historical Literacy Project for a very special evening with internationally renowned and award winning historians/authors James and Lois Horton. The Hortons will discuss their companion volume to the PBS series “Slavery and the Making of America” as well as their more recent “Slavery and Public History: The Tough Stuff of American Memory” which examines the ongoing difficulties historians have faced in examining, recording, and reconciling American slavery in the context of a nation founded on principles of liberty and individual rights.
