The preparation of professional education candidates at the University of Delaware is a university-wide commitment. The University offers initial preparation programs, advanced programs for teachers, and advanced programs for other professionals through six colleges: Agriculture and Natural Resources; Arts and Sciences; Health Sciences; Education and Human Development; Earth, Ocean, and Environment, and the Alfred Learner College of Business and Economics.

Since the professional education programs span across six colleges, The Delaware Center for Teacher Education provides support and coordination to faculty, students, and the education community for the preparation of professional educators.
